Jingshuo Technology, the data infrastructure subsidiary carved out of WeRide, has closed a Pre-A round of tens of millions of US dollars from Joy Capital, HKSTP Venture Fund, and Sirius Capital. Led by WeRide’s “Employee No. 001,” the company already claims over 100 customers, several billion yuan in pending orders, and year-over-year revenue growth exceeding 100% positioning itself as a critical “picks and shovels” player in the physical AI era.
The deal arrives at a strategic moment: as artificial intelligence accelerates from the digital world into the physical world, high-quality real-world data is replacing algorithms as the decisive bottleneck for embodied intelligence and robotics. Jingshuo’s mission is to build the data and model infrastructure for this transition, anchored by the philosophy that “high-quality data drives physical AI evolution.”
Its product architecture rests on two core platforms: WorldEngine, an integrated data-model platform, and GENESIS-Robotics, a proprietary world model. On top of these, the company offers EGOK, a self-developed first-person high-precision data collection device, alongside scaled data collection services, high-quality datasets, and customized data solutions. Together, these form a closed loop connecting real-world operational experience to robot learning.
Commercial Traction: 100+ Customers, Billions in Orders, Revenue Doubling
For a company just completing its first external funding round, Jingshuo’s disclosed operating metrics are notably strong. The company has established partnerships with dozens of leading large-model and embodied AI companies globally, accumulated over 100 customers and ecosystem partners, secured several billion yuan in pending orders, and achieved year-over-year revenue growth exceeding 100%. In an industry where physical AI commercialization remains early-stage, this scale of order backlog and growth velocity is unusual among data infrastructure peers.
The Leader Behind It: Huo Da, WeRide’s “Employee No. 001”
Jingshuo’s core team emerged directly from WeRide’s physical AI R&D organization. CEO Huo Da is WeRide’s “Employee No. 001,” with long-term depth in autonomous driving platforms and physical AI data infrastructure. He has previously led global engineering teams across the United States, China, and Singapore, bringing extensive experience in technical architecture and data system development. This background means Jingshuo is not a zero-to-one startup, but rather a focused carve-out built on nearly a decade of WeRide’s real-world physical AI commercialization experience. The company decouples data operations from the capital-intensive Robotaxi business and serves the broader embodied intelligence market independently.
Use of Funds and Strategic Positioning
Following this round, Jingshuo has outlined three priorities for the capital: expanding its core R&D team, deepening the synergy between its data platform, world model, and skill asset engine, and enriching the task and scenario coverage of its high-quality datasets to accelerate infrastructure development for physical AI. Jingshuo will continue to operate independently as a controlled subsidiary of WeRide and remain consolidated in the parent company’s financial statements.
From an industry perspective, Jingshuo’s independent financing sends a clear signal: while the embodied AI hardware race dominates headlines, data infrastructure is emerging as the next confirmed venture-scale opportunity. Whoever controls the closed loop of high-quality physical-world data collection, governance, and training holds the key to moving robots from “demo” to “doing real work.” Whether Jingshuo can leverage its head start in data accumulation and WeRide’s scenario-validation capabilities to become the “data toll booth” of the physical AI era is a story worth following.
